Choose Stylish Carpet Material for Different Rooms of Home

In choosing the best carpet for the home, it is important to take into consideration the different rooms in the house where it would be put. Shopping around for the best carpet, its use in the room is very relevant. Finding the best carpeting for a home starts out simple and rapidly becomes complicated. Unlike buying clothes or cars, there are so many different carpet styles look much the same, but their prices vary and for a reason. The fiber used in making the yarn is where the difference begins. How the fiber is made to a yarn is the second determining factor and the way it is then it tufted or sewn is the next major difference. Carpet is made with cut pile tufts, loop carpet, pile carpet or a combination of both. A cut pile carpet, depending on the kind of yarn, could look smooth or a bit textured or as if the surface is covered with very curly ends. Cut pile carpeting is very versatile and commonly used in living areas, bedrooms, dining rooms, dens and big rooms. The more twisted or textured the yarns, the less they would reveal vacuum cleaner marks and footprints.

A loop carpet possesses a knobby look created by every tuft being brought back to the backing. Moreover, a loop pile carpet is generally more durable compared to cut pile styles. The loop carpet could be made up of level loops or multi-level loops for adding more texture or form a pattern. Cut and loop flooring features a combination of loops and cut pile yarns which are used in making patterned designs. Patterned flooring could help hide traffic patterns in the area as well as provide the floor a more interesting look. A family room for instance or recreation area could be the perfect place for this style, especially if the room receives a lot of traffic.

Choosing the best carpet for the home depends on whose room it is.  A master suite or a guest bedroom will not likely have a lot of traffic or plenty of staining. Children's rooms call for a stain resistant nylon or stain resistant polyester. An adult bedroom is good for just about any fiber in a texture or plush style. Soft, new materials are good choices for a luxury underfoot feel. One's personal taste and lifestyle are key factors in selecting the best carpeting for living rooms. In a busy family with pets and children, the area will get the most wear. The best option is to have a stain treated or solution dyed product with some type of odor treatment. The furniture weight is another thing to keep in mind. Family areas in an active household demand carpeting that are soil and stain resistant and constructions that could withstand a lot of traffic. Loop piles and dense textures take care of the traffic.

Polyester carpets with stain resistance, solution dyed nylon pieces are sensible choices for the dining area. Products which feature anti-microbial and other topical treatments are also good choices for spill protection. High traffic places and stairs could be covered in low, dense pile carpeting since it is the most resilient fiber. The bottom of a stairwell and the top landing is where people usually turn their feet and thus cause addition stress on the flooring. This is where an extremely densely packed, low profile item could truly add life to the life expectancy of the piece.
